The ReGreeneration Project brings together nine European cities in a collective effort to reimagine urban neighborhoods as vibrant hubs of sustainability, livability, and social cohesion.

With a shared focus on regenerating disadvantaged neighborhoods through people-centered and nature-based solutions, the project goes beyond transforming physical landscapes. It embodies a holistic approach to urban regeneration, adopting a strategic and cross-sectoral planning perspective.

The “Green Labyrinth Fundeni” Project aims to address these challenges through extensive revitalization efforts. ReGreeneration in Bucharest targets 23 apartment buildings, focusing on reclaiming and reimagining the spaces between buildings as community areas, fostering a stronger sense of belonging among residents.

The selected intervention area is bounded by Potârnichii Street, Delfinului Street, Fundeni Road, and Pantelimon Road on one side, and Ciocârliei Street, Dobrina Alley, Delfinului Street, and Fundeni Road on the other, at the intersection of the Pantelimon and Baicului neighborhoods.

14,000 square meters of residential green courtyards, currently in an advanced state of degradation, are the focus of this ambitious urban regeneration initiative.

By addressing key challenges and promoting sustainable development, the project aims to create a healthier and more livable neighborhood for all.
