LIFE CERSUDS Project – Using Ceramic Tiles in SuDS
The LIFE CERSUDS project aims to improve cities' resilience to climate change while promoting the integration of green infrastructure into urban planning.
The project demonstrates an innovative Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SuDS) featuring a permeable pavement whose surface layer is made from low-commercial-value ceramic tiles. This environmentally friendly solution combines effective stormwater management with the reuse of ceramic materials that would otherwise have limited value.
In the Stormwater Romania Library, we present the LIFE CERSUDS project, its technical approach, and its outcomes as an example of good practice in developing resilient and sustainable urban infrastructure.
